Event highlights include late-night access to the galleries, dancing to the beats of DJ Vin Sol, hors d’oeuvres, chocolate tasting, an open bar serving decadent cocktails, and, of course, world-famous works of art. In addition to the above, VIP guests enjoy a pre-party reception from 7 to 8 p.m., tours of Girl with a Pearl Earring from 7 to 9 p.m., and all-night access to a wide variety of appetizers, cocktails, and desserts in TWO exclusive VIP lounges, located in the Piazzoni Murals Room and Hamon Tower. Join us in a toast! Moreno BHLV sparkling wines will be served in our VIP rooms.
One of San Francisco's most highly anticipated exhibitions of 2013, Girl with a Pearl Earring: Dutch Paintings from the Mauritshuis features an outstanding selection of paintings from the 17th-century Dutch Golden Age, including Carel Fabritius's enchanting work The Goldfinch of 1654. Vermeer's masterpiece and the exhibition's namesake, Girl with a Pearl Earring, is one of the most important works of art in the world. We are honored to be the first US venue for this stunning display, which has been anticipated with excitement and enthusiasm by the public and the press alike.
Guests will also have a chance to bid farewell to Rudolf Nureyev: A Life in Dance, comprising costumes and photographs from the dancer's personal collection, before the exhibition closes on February 17. Nureyev was a legend in his own time, receiving international acclaim as a dancer, choreographer, ballet master, and company director. On view are costumes and pieces that he and his fellow dancers wore as they traversed the globe, inspired by their insatiable love of dance.
San Francisco Ballet Performances
In a final celebration of this exhibition, guests are invited to view a very special performance by the San Francisco Ballet School Trainee Program in the Koret Auditorium. We are offering two seatings, one at 7:30 pm, and a second at 8:30 pm. Space is limited, and seats are available on a first come, first served basis. You will not want to miss this dazzling show!
Special Guests
We are pleased to welcome a few of our favorite ladies to the party: Kylie Minono, Khmera Rouge, Jezebel Patel, Sister Pat N. Leather, Sister Eve Volution, Patty McGroin, please make sure to say hello!
